Questions about donating? Here are some answers!

Q: How do I donate per lap pledge?

A: You can make a pledge on the Freedom Swim website, then wait to hear how many laps your swimmer completed. You can then give a one-time credit card donation to your swimmer's fundraising page. You can also give by check at the Freedom Swim event, give the check to your student, or mail the check directly to IJM at:

International Justice Mission
PO Box 96961
Washington, DC 20090

Please be sure to make the check out to "International Justice Mission" or "IJM".

Q: I gave by check, but am not seeing my donation on my swimmers' fundraising page. How do I ensure it gets attributed to my swimmer?

A: Check donations take a bit longer to process than credit card gifts, but these check gifts will be added to your swimmers page once we receive the check at IJM. It is also important to note the name of the swimmer you are supporting in the memo line of the check or on a note included with the check donation, so that your swimmer gets credit for your donation!

Q:  Is my donation tax-deductible?

A: Yes! IJM is a 501(c)3 organization. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt for your donation to IJM, as long as your name is linked to the donation and you give directly to IJM. If you give cash, and would like a tax-deductible receipt, you must include a note with the cash donation that lists your name, address, and amount of gift.
